Marie Louise Young Raymer was born in Washington, DC to Salvation Army Officers, Brigadier Wilbur and Ethel Young on June 23, 1933. She was a God-fearing woman who always put others ahead of herself. She was loved by everyone who ever met her and has a wonderful heritage with The Salvation Army.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jerry Lee Raymer of Tampa, FL and 7 children. Ms. Ethel Stinson, of St. Petersburg, FL, Lt. Colonels Ronnie & Sharon Raymer of Dallas, TX, Mr. & Mrs. Derlin & Connie Collazo of Thonotosassa, FL, Mr. & Mrs. David & PJ Raymer of St. Petersburg, FL, Majors Rick & Brenda Raymer of Atlanta GA, Mr. & Mrs. Tim & Julie Raymer of Zephyrhills, FL, and Majors Matthew & Cathy Riley of Parkersburg, WV.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She leaves behind her brother, Robert (Bobby) Young, of Huntsville, AL and two sisters Herberta Young Kraft, of Greenville, TX and Major Milly Young Fite, of Snellville, GA.
She is proud of her legacy of 12 children and grandchildren serving as Officers within the ranks of The Salvation Army.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Brigadier & Mrs. Wilbur Young, two brothers, Wilbur and Richard Young.
