Lisa Marie Owens

Lisa was born in Akron, OH, to James Dameron and MaryAnn Fodor on July 25, 1965. When she was two years old, her family settled in sunny Tampa, FL, where her love for the beach and Buccaneer football was sparked. She attended Lutz Elementary, Buchanan Middle School, and Chamberlain High School. On November 4, 1989, she married Robert Owens in Tampa, FL. Lisa graduated from Hillsborough Community College and worked as a registered nurse for AdventHealth Tampa (formerly University Community Hospital) for 36 years. Along with her husband, Robert, she was actively involved in Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ). They were introduced to this ministry in 1990 at Bethel Temple Assembly of God and were later led to plant a JBQ league at Life Church in Wesley Chapel in 2001. Throughout the years, Lisa remained a dedicated disciple of JBQ and played an integral role in nurturing and instilling God’s Word in young hearts.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father, James, and her biological mother, MaryAnn.

Lisa is survived by her spouse, Robert; her three children, Joseph, Logan, and Reesie; her sisters, Patricia and Michelle; her mother, Reesie; and her nine grandchildren: Chayse, Hayden, Alexandria, Surapol, Corvin, Lilith, Lysander, Evie, and Ori.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on December 7, 2024, at Life Church in Wesley Chapel, FL, with a photo slideshow of her life starting at 9:30 AM. A reception will follow at 1:30 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at the Garden of Memories.
