Laura Jean Erstad

Laura Erstad, 74, of Tampa, Fl. passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband, Ron, her beloved sister, Robin Arndt, (Harry White) and stepchildren Kelly Erstad Griffith (Timothy Griffith), Doug Burgers, Tracy Burgers Plecity, grandchildren Kara Gargan and Brendon Griffith. Born in Valley Stream, NY, Laura is a graduate of Hofstra University. She was the Director of Human Resources Officer at Leslie Controls and she retired from Leslie Controls. Laura’s passions were travel and community service. With her husband Ron, she brought her beautiful smile and sense of fashion all over the world. Laura was a Board member of Brighter Tomorrow, Secretary for Altrusa International, Inc of Tampa Bay and Altrusa International Foundation, Inc. Treasurer and was always there to volunteer to read to children, fund raise for veterans, provide snacks for performers, and assist wherever needed. She was an avid theater patron supporting the Carrollwood Players, Inc., American Stage Theater Company, and the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. She was a beautiful woman inside and out, a loving and devoted wife and sister and a kind, caring and supportive friend to all who knew her. Laura will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Laura's memory to the Carrollwood Players Inc., Tampa.

A celebration of her life will be set up for the first part of November.
