Kenneth J. Derr, 71, of Odessa Florida passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital-North surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ. He was a United States Marine Veteran. Ken retired in 2009 after 41.5 years with IBEW Local 102. He was a Foreman Electrician, employed by S.M. Electric Inc., Rahway, NJ. He was a member of the Watchung, NJ Rescue Squad, Member of American Legion Post 306, in Middlesex, NJ, as Captain of the Pool League and Comander in 1987. Also serving as an Officer with Middlesex Elks Lodge 1488. He enjoyed fishing, 50’s music and his service dog, Jill.
Son of Dorothy (Petro) Plock and Step father Edward Plock. Husband of Georgette J. (Scherer) Derr, he is survived by two daughters, Karen Derr and Sharon (Derr) Rigotty and two granddaughters, Rachel Kline and Sarah Bollard.
