Karen (KC) Ann Morrissey Callahan was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, many knew her as KC or Grammy. She went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2022 at the age of 73 in Tampa, Florida.
She was born in Geneseo, Illinois to Joseph and Elaine (Claeys) Morrissey on March 10, 1949. She graduated from Kewanee High School in Kewanee, Illinois in 1967. She worked and retired from Bank of America where she worked for 20+ years.
Karen enjoyed gardening, shopping, watching her grandson play baseball and spending time with her family and friends where she enjoyed plenty of laughs.
Karen is preceded in death by Joseph Morrissey (Father), Patrick Morrissey (Brother).
Karen is survived by her mom; Elaine (Claeys) Morrissey, son; David (Misty) Baker, Jr. of Jessup, GA; daughter, Shannon Rene (Jason) Yost of Tampa, FL, and her siblings; Joan (Ben) Bruton, Marlene (Gary) Krumwiede, Ronald “Ron” Morrissey, Thomas “Tom” Morrissey, and Lynn McDaniel, 2 grandchildren; Joseph Yost and Jonathan White, 1 great grandchild; Ella White. In addition to many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with the wishes of Karen there will be no funeral services; instead; her love ones will have a private Celebration of Life.
