He was predeceased in death by his father John C. Quigley, mother Amelia M. Kunkel, sister Eleanor A. Littley. He is survived by his spouse of 76 years Jewel E. Quigley, 96; daughters Suzanne E. (Stuart) Gildard , Holiday, FL and Gail L. (Dwayne) Alexander Jonesborough, TN; and granddaughters Christen S. Gildard, New Port Richey, Fl and April L. Alexander, Johnson City, TN.; nephew Joseph (Debbie) Littley, Cedar Brook, New Jersey, and niece Ginny (Richard) Greene, Newark,Delaware.
He was a World War II veteran, Master Sergeant in the Army (crew chief on a B-17 bomber) serving in England and North Africa. He retired from Maas Brothers after 38 years where he managed the fleet of trucks at their Gandy Store for Homes. He was a member of Palma Ceia Christian Church where he served as a Deacon. He was also a member of the Masons for over 40 years.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Ave., Tampa, Fl 33610. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception will be held in Garden of Memories Funeral Home.
