John Carlo Bernal Portocarrero Jr.

Marianela Portocarrero (39), Maria Isabela Bernal (11), John Carlo Bernal Jr (9) were residents of the Tampa Bay area, they passed away from injuries sustained from a tragic car accident, on Wednesday, October 26th, 2016 after they were struck by another vehicle. Marianela and Maria Isabela were born in Buenaventura Colombia, and came to the united states in 2006 along with Marianela’s oldest daughter Lina, to join their father John Carlo Bernal and give their children a world full of opportunities. John Carlo Bernal Jr was born in Tampa, FL and completed their family perfectly. Marianela was predeceased by Eleuterio Murillo and Esperanza Fernadez (grandparents), Marleny Murillo (aunt), Hector Fabio Murillo (uncle) Felisa Murillo (aunt) and Maria Vargas (cousin). Marianela, Maria Isabela & John Jr are survived by John Carlo Bernal (Husband & Father) Lina Bernal (Daughter & Sister) Maria Murillo (Mother & Grandmother) Maximiliano Portocarrero (father & grandfather) Harold Portocarrero (brother & uncle) Maximiliano Portocarrero Murillo (brother & uncle). Many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and loved ones from all sides of the Bernal, Portocarrero and Murillo Families. Marianela was a devoted mother and wife, whose primary focus was always her family. She was very active in her church along with her three children (Jehovah Witness) and was an active participant in anything and everything that involved her children, family and extended family. She was graceful, kind, patient and loved with her whole heart. Maria Isabela could light up any room when she walked in, she loved singing and dancing. She loved friendship and being goofy and like her mom, she valued family. She would always greet you, with a hug and a smile. John was the baby of the family. He was so loved by everyone who knew him. He loved animals, sports, singing, dancing and school. This tragedy has devastated many families and we can only find comfort in knowing, they are all resting in peace and we will one day reunite and see them all again.
