Jesus had  a plan for his angel here on earth. He knew that his angel would impact many lives . There was a little girl that lived next to us that did not speak. You spoke with her everyday . She would watch us play through her screened door you always took the time to stop and visit . Her 1st word was JJ. her Mom said it was a Miracle she was so happy.
You did so many things for people . God said go out into the world and spread the good news and help people but do not boast. You fulfilled that.
I just want you to know how proud I am to be your sister. Thank you for being my brother. Thank you for all the advice you have given to Thomas and Emma. Thank you for making my faith stronger. You had such a beautiful relationship with God. I am honored and Blessed that I was able witness that. I love you."
God has called his angel Home. I will miss you so much.

I have know Javier since I started working at USF Housing in 2003. He has always been the most humble person and always so very helpful. He will be missed at Housing.

Javier~ You were one of a kind.
Loyal, kind and compassionate;
Supportive, encouraging and selfless..
Determined, tenacious and hardworking.
You were always concerned about other people and happily put their needs above your own. Your sweet spirit is deeply missed by all. 
Our peace comes, knowing that you are living in glory with our gracious Heavenly Father. And you are finally receiving all the rich rewards for your life well lived.
You were and always will be a true friend Javier. And, even more than that, you are our Brother and Uncle to Elijah. We love you and miss you dearly!!!

Jay and I met through a mutual friend in the early 90s. We both worked two jobs and decided to go into a contract together as roommates. Little did I know I would walk into this contract and ended up gaining a brother as a result? Jay may not have the material things that others possess but he has something way better than material things, it's called A TRUE COMPASSION FOR HUMANITY, the LOVE for HIS FRIENDS, and FAMILY. I remembered how he helped me on numerous occasions, he taught me how to fix my car whether it's changing battery, starter, or alternator. I learned all that just because of his willingness to help and teach.  Every time I'd asked for help, he never gave me any grief. His reply was always I'll be there or I'm on my way. Life has taken us in so many directions but we never lost touch, we always found a way how each other is doing. For months, I've asked Jay when can I visit but never got an answer until about a week ago. Jay doesn't like to draw attention this is probably why he kept some of us away during his chemo and radiation sessions. In Jay's text he said, I am looking forward to meeting my nephew. So last Sunday July 17th, Jay met Phillip and they interacted for a long time. Jay was very happy to meet his nephew though we knew he was in a lot of pain. We ended our visit with Jay in bed and as we were getting ready to leave I asked Jay if he needed anything? He simply replied back with his I'm Okay, Thank You and followed by a smile.  We visited Jay at Hospice on Tuesday afternoon; he was in much more pain. Again, not one complaint from him other than he is a little cold. I remembered covering him with a blanket and kissed his forehead. Jay paid me back with his beautiful smile and his typical reply by saying I'm Okay, and Thank You. Even in his death bed he maintained his high standard of being a loving and cheerful person. Jay has impacted many lives one way or the other. If there is one thing my brother didn't know how to do, that would be driving a golf cart. Jay and golf cart never get along, and I hope they don't have golf carts in heaven. If they do, angels better watch out for Jay (happy face).  Our lives will never be the same without Jay and I hope he knows how much we love him and he will be truly missed.

May you rest in peace Jay. You had a heart of gold and a spirit to match.  You were a blessing and loved by many and I pray God will mend their hearts and fill the void with joyful memories. One of my fondest and funniest memories in life involved you and every time I think of it I smile....you know what I'm talking about. Thank you for your friendship and may we meet again some day.

"If you think you can do it, and you believe in yourself and in God and you know you can achieve your goals, then you can. You are special in God's eyes and in your family's eyes and I believe in you and I know you can do whatever you put your mind to because you're a good person with a big heart. I love you, and I'll always be here to support you with whatever you need. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here for you." 

Uncle Jay told me these words every time I saw him, all throughout my life. Not once did he ever miss an opportunity to say these words to me. I could feel them travel through my ears and into my heart every time because each time he said it, he meant it with such sincerity. Hearing these words all the time can get annoying and repetitive from time to time, and I'm sure saying them all the time can get exhausting, too. But, he would say it, and I would listen, and now I would give anything to hear that super long hello from my Uncle Jay. I love you Uncle Jay. I will tell my children, and their children, those same words. These words will - you will - resonate in my heart forever.
