Mrs. Janet Fritz Devoe

Janet Fritz Devoe, 68, passed from this life on Tuesday October 22, 2019 having survived Stage 4 Lymphoma, chemotherapy, and finally succumbed to complications from open heart surgery. While we grieve this great loss, we give thanks for the five extra years we were blessed with her joyous presence in our lives. Janet was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Waneta Fritz. Janet was dearly loved by her husband Harold, daughter Marla Scaglione (Paul), son Stephen Robbins (Kristin), stepdaughter Heather Henderson (Trey), stepson Eric Devoe (Jane); sisters Nadine Haines (Arthur), Sedra Downs (Thomas), and brother Roger Fritz (Debbie); grandchildren Natalie, David & Grace Scaglione, Drew, Colby, & Kaili Robbins, Grant & Lindsay Henderson, and April Devoe; neices and nephews Wendy Haines, Craig Ison (Carrie), Christina Mantarakis (Zanis), Daniel Fritz, and predeceased by nephew Joshua Haines.

Janet was born in Dayton, Ohio, attended West Carrollton High School, graduated from beauty school, and enjoyed careers as a talented hairdresser, bookkeeper, seamstress, and custom sewn costume and clothing designer business owner. However, her greatest passion was serving up large portions of love and support for her nine grandchildren, elderly family members, and friends.

An open house Celebration of Life will take place at the Devoe home on Sunday November 10, 2019 from 2-5pm. We ask attendees to wear floral attire (Hawaiian shirts are acceptable) in honor of Janet’s love for flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations to Moffitt Cancer Center or Hospice would be the most meaningful to her.
