JOHNSON, James E. 79, of Plant City, went to be with the Lord August 5, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Lois Johnson and his beloved wife, Mary Johnson, his brothers, Jack, Don and Bob Johnson. He is survived by his daughters, Lois & Stan Stone, Deborah Noriega, Susan Macko, sons, Ed & Laurie Johnson, Dale & Tammy Johnson and Don & Tammy Johnson, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, JoAnn McEwen of New Castle, PA, and Linda Dalton of Chamberburg, PA. He served four years in the US Air Force. He was a noted musician and DJ on WHBO Radio for 20 years. Also, he was known for his country, bluegrass and gospel music. He played guitar and bass fiddle and was featured for many years on the Ernie Lee Morning Show on WTVT Channel 13, Tampa. He was also featured as Country Cousin Jim on Channel 10’s Bring ‘em Back Alive show appearing with his good friend Jim Foster. Jim Johnson was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Plant City. Funeral services will be held at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 12:30 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
