George Henning Adams

ADAMS, George H., 92, of Tampa, FL passed away March 31, 2015. Mr. Adams was born to Naclav and Anna Adams (Adamek) in Stavanger, Norway. He and his family immigrated to the US when he was 2 years old. He served in the Marines during WWII, married his beloved wife, Mable, in 1947. He was a machinist at the Thompson Steel Company in Franklin Park, IL for 35 years when he retired. He was an active member in church life, taking short-term mission trips, and a member of Gateway Christian Center, Tampa, FL. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mable, of 68 years; daughter, Judith Adams of Longview, WA; son, Gerald Adams (Christine) of Lancaster, PA; daughter, Karen Adams of Lancaster, PA; son, Raymond Adams (Cheryl) of Greensboro, NC; son, Dennis Adams (Cindy) of Savannah, GA, along with 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A service will be held at 12pm on Friday, April 10, 2015 from the Carrollwood Chapel of Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa FL 33618.
