Ernest Paul May Jr.

MAY, Ernest Paul Jr., 83, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 after a brief illness. He was preceded by his wife of 21 years, Penny May and his son, Michael May. Ernest is survived by his first wife, Patricia May; son, Kenneth May (Grechen); grandchildren, Chris May, Kali Willis (Justin), David May, Connor May, Katie May; great-grandchildren, Kyla May, Wyatt May; sisters, Sue Hample, Doris Brockmeyer (Jim); brother, Jerry May and very dear friends from Post Buckley Engineering and TBE\Carnaut. Ernest was born in Lexington, KY, lived in Columbus, OH, and then moved to FL in 1979. He graduated from Sea Breeze High School in Daytona Beach, FL then enlisted and proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He later attended and graduated from the University of Miami where he earned his degree in Civil Engineering. He thoroughly enjoyed his work and only retired last year. Ernest will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa, FL on Wednesday, August 12th, 2015 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Melech Hospice House, 11125 N 52nd St., Tampa, FL 33617
