MARTINEZ, Edward R. 89, of Tampa, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016. He was a veteran of WWII, a retired Firefighter with the City of Tampa and was also involved with the Sertoma Club and Boys Town in Tampa. He is preceded in death by Diana Pizzo Martinez; mother, Esther Martinez and sister, Esther Parker. He is survived by his family, daughter, Mary Martinez; sons, Robert J. Martinez, Nick L. Martinez; brother, Neri L. Martinez; grandchildren, Nicholas Durango, Diana Durango and Emily Martinez. Visitation will take place Wednesday, May 18 at 2 pm immediately followed by funeral service at 3 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4207 E. Lake Avenue Tampa, 33610. Burial will take place at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park on the same day.
