Edward Frank Barta Jr. 87, of Tampa, FL passed away with loved ones nearby at his home Tuesday afternoon, April 4, 2023. Battling cancer since February 2023, he inspired others with his strong faith and a belief that he would be healed by the Lord. We know that he is feeling strong in heaven at last. Prior to his failing health Ted was an active member of his church, attending services and special men’s events regularly. His church family was very important to him.

Ted had a great love for animals and became a Docent at Lowry Park Zoo in his retirement. He had many pets throughout his life including his beloved Irish Setter Georgia, who is finally playing fetch with him again. He had a love for the great outdoors, serving as Cub Scout leader to his boys and passing that love for adventure to his kids.
