Deborah Jeanne Green

Deborah (Deb) was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Raymond and Geneva Langhorst on June 18, 1955. She went to school in Upper St. Clair, PA and graduated from Ashland University. She married Dr. Kenneth H. Green on August 12, 1978 in Pittsburgh, PA and worked 35 years as the office manager at her husband’s Optometry practice in Tampa. She was involved with the PTA, was a homeroom Mom when her daughter Lauren was growing up, and was involved with Girl Scouts.

Deb had many friends and was known for her infectious laugh and beautiful smile. She was fun loving and always ready for a good time. She enjoyed traveling, both abroad and in the U.S.; she especially loved taking road trips with her husband, Ken, visiting the National Parks, and enjoyed spending time in Big Sky, Montana. Deb enjoyed hiking, boating in the Tampa area, water and snow skiing, gardening, and cooking.

Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her daughter Lauren who was always her pride and joy.

Deb is preceded in death by father, Raymond Langhorst; mother, Geneva Langhorst; and brother, David Langhorst.

Deb is survived by husband, Dr. Kenneth H. Green; daughter, Lauren Green; and niece, Kim Reese.

A visitation will be held at 5:00pm on Friday November 4, 2022 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood (3207 W Bearss Ave. Tampa FL 33618), followed by a Celebration of Life at 6:00pm.

Memorials may be given to the Cancer Research Institute or the American Cancer Society.
