Dear Ong Ngoai,

Thank you for being with me for the whole 22 years of life. The oldest memory I can think of us is when I was young, you would take me and Ba Ngoai to Pizza Hut to eat pizza. Back then, I did not like marinara sauce on the pizza, so you would scrap off the marinara sauce and cheese for me. I would just eat the crust of the pizza. I was the pickiest eater back then, but I promise you Ong Ngoai, I am going to try more new foods! Another memory I remember of us is when you would come and pick me up from Elementary school to take me home. I would be walking out of school, and I would see you standing there, moving your head left and right trying to look for me out of the crowd of kids. I remember when we were home, the first thing you would do is making sure I was fed, using my favorite Nemo bowl for the rice. As I gotten older, we have not spent as much time together as before, and that is okay, because I have been focused on school, so I can have a career, to make my parents, and especially you proud. I am thankful for the memories we shared throughout the years, and I hope to cherish them forever and eventually in the future, tell my own kids how awesome of a Grandpa you were. I hope you found peace in Heaven, and you are looking down on me and the family to see what a beautiful family you have created. Me, Ba Ngoai, and the whole family misses you a lot.

im sorry for not spending as much time with you . with all those opportunities, i missed all my chances and i regret not being able to spend time with you. but, thank you for being my grandpa. with all the times that we have spent together means a lot to me and i still love you as my grandpa. im grateful for the ride home from school, talking to you, and more. i really miss and love you deeply. please rest in peace peacefully.

dear ông ngoai, thank you for everything you’ve done for me and our family. i am glad you came home to hold my hand one last time and i got to see you smile. you deserve this rest. i am grateful i got to spend my summers and weekends with you and ba ngoai. you have fed me, drove me, taught me and most importantly made me smile. i would do anything to hold your hand and hug you one last time. i will miss your fist bumps. i will miss greeting you every time i come over. i will miss watching tv with you. i will miss you asking me how to take a picture or send a text. thank you for making my childhood the best. i miss you and love you so so much ông ngoai. rest easy ông ngoai.

I miss you very much and i hope you are well in peace with god. Thank you so much for being here for me when I was little. You took care of me and drove me home from school.  I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. I’ll make sure to always work hard and study! You’re always loving towards everyone and kind.  Words can’t explain how much I love you. I’ll always think about you in my heart. I love and miss you so much Ông ngoại may you rest in peace.





Dear ông nội, 

Thank you for everything you have done for my family. I am thankful for the kindness you shared with my parents and me. You took your time to drive me to church every Sunday and many of my rehearsals. You also took care of me when my parents went to Vietnam. There are too many memories to list, but I know those recollections are precious. Although these past few years we haven’t conversed as much, I still remember the joyous moments we spent together. As you are no longer with us physically, you will remain in our hearts spiritually.

May ông nội rest in please with God.

Hi grandpa, I miss you already and wish you were here with me. I miss the old times we were hanging out. I hope you have fun with God and have a great life up there like you did on earth. I appreciate all the hard work you’ve been doing all these years to do anything for me and my siblings. I also appreciate that you were a veteran for Vietnam and protected Vietnam with all your life. Thank you for protecting my mom when she was little. Thank you for being the best grandpa ever. I love you very much and I will miss you.
