Cody Joseph Kurtz aka “Piggy,” age 26, of Tampa, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Cody's life was stolen by a reckless driver. Cody was a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend who is survived by his mother, Tammy Ferrer; father, Francisco Ferrer II; grandmother, Nancy Roaderick; brothers, Alex Smith, and Francisco Ferrer III; and sister-in-laws, Nathalie Ferrer and Palma Smith.
He was born March 27, 1997, in Clearwater, Florida and graduated from Palm Harbor University High School in 2015. Cody worked at the family business, Nautical Marine, as a marketing and sales professional. He was a proud dog and cat dad to Kilo and Koda. Cody was a “social chameleon” who always wanted to make people laugh, whether he knew you well or was meeting you for the first time. Throughout Cody’s journey of life, he had a multitude of hobbies and interests, including his love for sports, motorsports, gaming, good food (especially a triple order of filet), Star Wars, superheroes/villains, comics, Game of Thrones, Sopranos and snapbacks… Cody loved himself a good retro snapback.
Most importantly, Cody had a heart that was 3 times the size of his 6'4" body. When he put his mind to something, he was all-in with his passion and commitment. The laughter and smiles that he gave us will be memories that we forever cherish. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. We love you, Pig.
PS – Toad’s Home.
