THURSTON, Claire Elizabeth, 26, of Tampa passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014. She was born in Shreveport LA to Jill Mostowski Thurston and Donald Thurston. She is survived by her parents, step-father, Kyle Galusha; brother, Ryan Thurston; sister, Caitlin Galusha; grandmother, Geri Romero and many extended family members in LA and NY. Claire graduated High School from Central Private School in Central LA in 2007 and a short time later she moved with her family to Lutz FL. Claire studied the Culinary and Hospitality arts at Hillsborough Community College and worked at various restaurants in Tampa. She loved reading books, painting, small animals, scary movies, crawfish, Starbucks, tattoos and spending time with family. A private service is being held Wednesday at Blount & Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Avenue, Tampa, FL. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Tampa’s Metropolitan Ministries, 2002 N. Florida Ave, Tampa 33602 memory of Claire E. Thurston.
