Carol Jan Richardson

Carol Jan Richardson, beloved wife, mother, and sister, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on January 19, 1958, in Hollywood, FL, Carol was a true beach lover and world traveler, embracing life with a spirit of adventure.

A proud graduate of the University of South Florida, Carol earned her bachelor's degree in fine arts, which fueled her creative passions. In the 1990s, she worked as a travel agent, helping others discover the joy of travel and adventure. A devoted mother and homemaker, she cherished her family above all else, creating a warm and loving home for her husband, Thomas Richardson, and her son, Jake Richardson. Carol's zest for life was infectious; she was known as an adventurous party girl and an adrenaline thrill-seeker, always seeking new experiences and sharing joy with those around her.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, William Benjamin and Ethel Mae "Pickles" Benjamin. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas, her cherished son, Jake, and her sister, Nancy Saxon, who will miss her dearly.

In honor of Carol’s memory, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association, the American Cancer Society, or Metropolitan Ministries, organizations that reflect her compassionate spirit.

A memorial service will take place at 3pm on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Blount and Curry Carrollwood located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618. The family will receive friends one hour prior starting at 2pm.
