Gordon McCorkle, Betty, 77, of Tampa passed away peacefully on May 3, 2015 in her home. Mrs. Gordon loved living an active lifestyle. She had a great passion for all types of performing arts, especially theater and classical music. She also enjoyed quilting, was an avid reader, and enjoyed many outdoor activities such as tennis, kayaking, hiking and traveling. Mrs. Gordon most of all loved spending time with her family and friends. She joins Bob, her soul mate of 34 years in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Elizabeth McCorkle and her beloved husband and companion Bob Gordon. She is survived by her daughter Beth Ronzo (Joe), son Phillip McGowan, stepson Bob Gordon Jr.(Wendi), and her beloved grandchildren; Danielle, Chrissy and Joey. Arrangements entrusted to Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida 33618. A Celebration of life will take place on May 16, 2015 from 5-8pm.
