Betty J. Dalton, 86 of Wesley Chapel, passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2021 at her home with loved ones by her side. Betty was born in Ohio on January 31, 1935 to the late Anna Lee & Everett S. Maddy.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Jack R. Dalton, as well her sisters Jean Carlene, Lena, Kay and her brother Bruce.
Being a proud Military wife of the USAF, she and Jack traveled the world and retired to Florida in 1976.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her hobbies included reading, gardening, cooking and loving on her fury pets.
She was funny & loving, sassy & silly, she reminded her family of Lucy, Ethel & Betty Boop. Most everyone called her Momma D, Memaw or Grandma but to her children she was the World’s Greatest Mother!
In her early years she worked as a Nurses aid. As well worked for the Hillsborough County School System.
She completed her degree specializing in Dental Assisting in 1978
Left to cherish her memory are her four children Theresa Dodd, Vickie Rose (Jim), Danny, Sadea (Carlos); nine Grandchildren, four Great Grandchildren, fourteen Great Great Grandchildren.
Her family would like to thank you for all of your prayers love and support during this difficult Journey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 1:00-2:00pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, Fl. 33610 with Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
