She is preceded by her brother, Guy Burnett, III. Becky is survived by her husband Bob Waibel; sons, Roy (Shannon) Burnett and Sebastian Drew Waibel; sister, Floy McNulty; grandchildren, Callen and Jenna Burnett.
Becky was born in Tampa, FL at St. Joseph's hospital at 11:09 on July 3, 1955 to Guy Allison Burnett and Leila Myrle Ortmeyer Burnett.
Becky attended Academy of the Holy Names then HB Plant High School. Becky graduated from the University of Tampa with a degree in English. Becky married Robert Waibel in 1983 and was married for 36 years.
Becky worked in Tampa with Muscular Dystrophy Association and then went into Advertising with Jennings and Epstein, TBWA. She was Director of Advertising for United Van Lines and VP of Advertising for TMP Worldwide. She was involved with the Junior league of Tampa in 1977 and St. Louis in 1982. She was chairman of the education series and publicity committees and mentored unwed mothers at Villa Maria.
Becky lived out her catholic faith by helping others. She was involved with, St Clement of Rome in Des Peres, Missouri and St. Peter Chanel in Roswell, Georgia and Sacred Heart Church in Tampa. She was a Eucharistic Minister and Guardian Ad Litem. She was a voracious reader and loved to write and loved to travel to British Virgin Islands and Ireland. She was passionate about spending time with lifelong friends and her grandkids, Callen and Jenna Burnett.
Becky fought Multiple Sclerosis for over 30 years. She as a patient advocate and helped other people with Multiple Sclerosis. She was a devoted wife, parent, friend, grandmother, aunt and will be missed by all.
