Allison Elizabeth Sharp

Allison Elizabeth Sharp, 27, passed on Saturday, January 21, 2017, from injuries suffered in a car accident. Allison leaves behind her parents, Susan Heath Sharp of Tampa, Florida and William M. Sharp, Sr. of Pass-A-Grille Beach, Florida, her maternal grandmother Marlay Barbee, her sister Amy Heath Patenaude and husband Jeffery Patenaude, her brother William M. Sharp, Jr. (Wiley) and wife Laura Jagielski, her step-mother Jane Elizabeth Shivers and step-brothers Clay Shivers and Will Shivers, and her nephew, Jeffrey Heath Patenaude. She was preceded by her sister Jennifer Heath Sharp. Her life will be celebrated at services held on Thursday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church, 350 S. Hyde Park Avenue, Tampa. Family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday afternoon from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Blount & Curry funeral home, 605 MacDill Avenue, Tampa. Allison was on born on April 27, 1989 in Tampa. She attended St. John’s Episcopal Day School, where she excelled in sports, theater, and student government. In high school, Allison went on to become an all-star volleyball player and played on two state champion high school teams, Berkeley Preparatory School and then Plant High School. Allison played on the Emory University varsity volleyball team and graduated from Emory, majoring in business. She attended the Society of International Business Fellows Cambridge Program in the UK and spent a summer on the Semester at Sea, traveling the world. She especially loved spending New Year’s in Paris. All of this sparked Allison’s interest in international business and entrepreneurial ventures. After college she launched a business sourcing products in India and then earned her Masters in Business Administration degree at the University of Miami. She became a Sales Manager for Revlon (Elizabeth Arden), a position she held until her passing. Allison was blessed with many business role models from her internships at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the Arthur Blank Foundation, CNN, and Bacardi. She loved marketing, traveling, sales, fashion, flag football, social media, and her many friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Allison’s name to Mary Lee’s House, 2806 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa FL 33607.
