Adeline Seara Rodriguez, 88, passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2023, and is preceded in death by her husband Orlando Rodriguez Sr., sister Virginia Kunst and granddaughter Ariel Seara Lopez. Adeline was born in New York, NY, and raised by her grandmother in Ybor City. She also spent many summers in Key West.
She retired from the Hillsborough County School Board. She worked 30 years as a parent educator and teachers assistant in the office. For her exceptional work ethic and kindness, she was named Hillsborough County School District Support Employee of the Year 1996-1997. She touched the lives of many students. She was an avid reader, loved puzzles, playing Bingo, playing cards and always loved keeping up with everyone on Facebook. She was known to have major FOMO (fear of missing out). She was a member of many social clubs including Las Damas, The Gals, Ybor City Seniors and loved meeting her friends every day for lunch and to drink some Cuban coffee at Los Gringos. She loved going to the beach, but her greatest love and passion were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially loved her role as Nani. She had a way of making everyone feel as if they were family.
She is survived by her children Arthur Estrada III (Lynda), Arlene Estrada, Diann “Deedee” Blanco, Orlando Rodriguez Jr (Connie), Barbara Lopez (Joe) and Maria Gonzalez (Jesus “Moe”), 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, her sisters Linda Vasconi and Darlene Bock, her brother Oscar Seara, and her cousin Lucy Castellano.
Her celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Blount and Curry Funeral Home - Garden of Memories, 4207 E Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 1pm at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help, 1711 E. 11th Ave., Tampa, FL 33605
