We give thanks for the fulfilled life of Ruby Dianna Johnson, nee Stewart. Our mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend lived out her entire life with much courage, determination, joy, and purpose.
Ruby Dianna Johnson, affectionately known by many as Auntie Di, was born in Clarendon, Jamaica. Auntie Di was born to parents, Iris Maud Reid and Nathaniel Stewart. She had the companion of a twin brother who died shortly after birth. Auntie Di was the eldest of three children, her younger siblings Alma, and Boysie Ford. She is predeceased by her husband Rudolph and brother Boysie and survived by her children: Glen, Peter, Dawn, Chester, Courtney; and sister, Alma. Auntie Di had great joy in her five children, 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and most importantly her love for everyone she met. She always had a smile on her face, and she treated everyone like her own.
Auntie Di was married to her longtime friend, the very handsome Rudolph Johnson. Their union produced four lovely children expanding their family from the one-child she already had. Her greatest joy was her very own children whom she has nurtured throughout the years. Our Auntie Di was a woman who kept her family together, gave us words of encouragement and praise, to inspire confidence when necessary. Auntie Di loved people because she was a firm believer of the golden rule… "treat everyone the way you would like to be treated with love and respect.” She loved the Lord and was devoted to her faith. She credited most of her faith to her early Christian teachings. Her memories will live on in our hearts and minds forever.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.baileymemorial.com for the Johnson family.
