William James McMahon, IV, 85, of Tallahassee died Monday (9/21) at Big Bend Hospice House. A native of Buffalo, NY, he came to Tallahassee from South Florida in 1972. William was a graduate of the FBI Academy and had retired as a special agent for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He was an active member of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association, the Police Chiefs Association and the NRA. He also was an instructor in Tai Chi.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years: Janet Dean; sons: Bill of Palm Bay, Christopher of Tallahassee; daughter: Alicia also of Tallahassee; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
