Shirley Shaw Jones

She was born April 17, 1927, in Toronto, Canada, the daughter of the late, Jesse Isabel Shaw and William Thomas Shaw. She was the youngest of three siblings. On June 15, 1956 she married Franklin L. Hileman, who predeceased her and subsequently, on October 18, 1975 she married Frank L. Jones, who predeceased her.

She was a delegate to the Republican National Women’s Conference. She received an Associate of Arts Degree from Miami-Dade Community College and became a licensed Real Estate broker by the State of Florida. She went on to graduate from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Audiology and provided speech and hearing therapy throughout North Florida for the State of Florida and was appointed by Governor Bob Martinez to the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology

She is survived by her daughter Lynne Munroe of Cocoa, Florida; Tammy Hileman of Hollywood, Florida; her son Franklin Hileman II of Fernandina Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Austin Munro of Chattanooga, TN and Jesse Yamonaco of Orlando, Florida: Kathleen Hileman of Brooklyn New York; Meghan Hileman of Brooklyn, New York and Kiersten Hileman of Washington D.C

A service and burial will be held Monday, November 6, 2023 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Homes and Cemetery in Tallahassee, Florida.
