Valerie,  so often we remember Buck.  Our house was the first house he built when he went on his own with Cleveland Construction.  He built us a solid home which is a reflection of who he was.  We are forever grateful for Buck and his hard working, honest work ethic.

Hard to believe it’s been two years. Buck has been gone a wonderful builder a funny man, a great husband and father and grandfather David and I miss you very much.

1 year ago my husband lost his best friend. Buck was an amazing father , grandfather, friend and just an all around good guy.  Thinking of you and your family today.  David and I talk and think about you often.  We laugh at some of the fun times.  We hope you’re in heaven on a big fishing boat enjoying the sun . To your family .. you had a very special man in your lives… May God bless you and keep you safe 

Buck Cleveland was my awesome husband and best friend for 38 years. He took a big piece of my heart and he always remembered and never forgotten . His passing has changed my life forever. You are at piece now and are in great hands now with god in heaven . I have always loved you forever , Your wife ♥️ 

We were deeply saddened to hear of Buck's passing.  Buck was our contractor when we built our house.  He was one of the best people I ever worked with in my life.  He was honest, caring, patient, and he genuinely cared about the quality of his work.  I had an enormous amount of respect Buck.  I want to extend my deepest condolences to his family.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Buck came to work with us in the early 80s and stayed for over 25 years. When he came we were building small homes and duplex townhouses. When he left to start his own company, we were building some of the nicest custom homes in Tallahassee. Our transition was due in large part to Buck's field management, attention to details, integrity, and work ethic. He carried on his own tradition of building homes that will be passed down thru  generations with Cleveland Construction Co.
He was a good man and we appreciate all he did to help us while we were together.
Although he had many outside interests, his family was number one. 
His passing leaves a big hole in our local building community and in many hearts.

Buck was an Incredible person.  I was lucky to know him, and share countless stories.  It was a little over two years that we spent together that felt like every day, messing with each other and having a good time while he was building my house.  I’ll miss giving him a hard time and joking with him.  The passion and detail he had for his trade was second to none, but was most comforting was the love he had for his Daughter and then grandkids.  Godspeed, Buck.  

I am very sorry for your loss. I have known Buck for about 30 years. I designed trusses for him when he worked for others and when he ventured out on his own. Buck was not afraid to take on a challenging project even if the plans left a lot to be desired. He was a "hands-on" guy that knew every aspect of his trade and it was rewarding to collaborate with Buck to solve structural problems in order to achieve the desired architectural results. I can see why his many customers valued his opinions and friendship. I did not know Buck socially but I was once present when he was having a phone conversation with one of his children and I could tell how much he loved them by what I heard. His rough exterior was in contrast to his inner character as I understood it. I will miss him as will so many others.  Brian Thorpe 

We were one of the fortunate families to have had Buck enter our home and our lives with his expertise, artistry, and professionalism. In 2004, Buck introduced himself with some suggestions for a remodel, and we kept him continuously coming back for the next ten years. Buck's artisitc vision, work ethic, incredible honesty, and kindness went unmatched and he quickly proved his mastery as a top homebuilder. His dedication to his family, his work, his professional commitment, and his friendship defined his great character. You were immediately at ease with his deep belly laugh ... Honestly, there is only ONE Buck, and we are so very thankful for his presence in our lives, his loyalty, and his friendship. We miss him ... we give our condolences and wish comfort and peace for his family for their tremendous loss. Buck loved his family and loved his girls; he was exceptionally happy and proud to be a grandfather!! I think Buck's grandfather role surpassed that of master-builder! My Brother Buck, he will be missed, there are so many memories, from the times we were young and building snow forts in Cape Cod, skating on the pond across from our house, to getting older and graduating and going our separate ways to new places and adventures. I was only a year younger, so he seemed to always do things before me. However, to me he was fearless. He just decided to do something and went for it, whether it was ski down a mountain or move across the Country.  At one point we lived in Tallahassee across from each other in the houses Buck built and many of our friends and family helped to build. We worked hard on those houses, but it was time spent together and we had many good times.  Buck and his wife Val built Cleveland Construction and now there are many beautiful houses in Tallahassee with Bucks special touches. He will missed but the memories will live on in my heart forever.

Mr. Buck. I Worked for him for 8 years. He was  one of the best builders that i knew,and great friend. He knew what he was doing and i always admired him for that. We built many homes together, n i learned alot from him.He made me better, if i had a question he was always there to answer n to help me. U left us to soon i will miss u. Prayers for all of the family.

Buck was the best .. I called on him a lot to come back and fix things at the home I worked at  that he built he would come running for me. He had a great sense of humor and he was a very honest and good friend to our family. God must’ve needed another angel is all I can say. Buck build our home in 2009. His love of family, attention to detail, kindness, talent and his level of integrity left a lasting impression on us. This was a time before he had grandchildren and he would glow when talking about his daughter, Stephanie. He would also say he couldn't wait for her to give him some grandchildren. His work is a testament to his talent, his dedication and incredible work ethic. His integrity, love of his wife, daughter and grandchildren are a testament to the wonderful family man he was.
