Peggy Rozar, 91, of Monticello, Florida, passed away at home on July 12, 2024. Born in September in Geneva Co, Alabama, Peggy was one of eleven children of the late K.Z. and Jahazah Strickland. Peggy was married to Davis L. Rozar, who passed away on February 6, 1992.
They had three children Davis (Andy) Rozar of Monticello, FL, Kathy Atkins (Paul) of Tallahassee, FL and Shirley Jo Rozar of Monticello, FL.; three grandchildren – Sam Rozar, Leah Rozar-Sinnott (John) and Sara Rozar, two step-grandchildren – Alan Atkins and Zack Atkins (Sara) and two great grandchildren – Davis Badger and Ivy Grace Atkins. She is also survived by her sister Sarah Wells and two brothers Johnny Strickland and Jim Bob Strickland.
Peggy worked for the Leon County School Board for 29 years. Peggy loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens, keeping her house in immaculate condition and looking out for her family and loved ones. She was deeply religious and passionate about her love of Jesus Christ the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Pollard, Betty Cloud and half-sister Treace Snipes, and her brothers, Paul Strickland, Ned Strickland, Joel Strickland, Jack Strickland and Richard Strickland.
The family would like to thank her health care aide, Clara Berkins, for the love, care, passion and respect given to Mom during the past year.

Peggy’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family will be cherished forever by all who knew her.
