Nancy Williams Romano, 65, of Tallahassee, died Monday (7/24) at her home. A native of Jacksonville, FL, she moved to Tallahassee 3 years ago from Pensacola. She worked as a speech-language pathologist in Escambia county until she retired. Nancy was a much loved and important caregiver to her two young granddaughters, Juliette and Seraphina. Upon her retirement, she dedicated herself to advocating for social justice in areas such as health care, protecting the environment, and in education. She also loved reading, photography, and traveling.
She is survived by her daughters: Mollie Romano of Tallahassee, Megan Romano of Salvisa, KY; sisters: Sheri McArthur of Georgia, Sandi Dizel of Penn; and two grandchildren: Juliette & Seraphina.
