Myrtle Mullee

Myrtle C Mullee, 105, of Tallahassee passed away in the Heritage Health Care Center, Tallahassee Tuesday morning, February 20, 2018. Myrtle was born in New York City and lived in Long Island until moving to Miami in 1949. Her parents were Anna Storch, an exceptional dressmaker and head seamstress at Sak’s Fifth Avenue in New York and Otto Storch, a long-time employee of Borden’s Dairies follow a tour of duty in the Navy. At the age of nine, Myrtle met her handsome neighbor, Paul and ten years later they were wed. Paul was a highly regarded pianist who over a long career played in the finest night clubs and hotels in New York and many major cities across the country. Music filled each day in the Mullee household. Myrtle was a fine cook, having learned German cooking from her mother and Italian cooking from her mother-in-law. She maintained an immaculate home and loved to be outdoors working in her garden.

In addition to her husband, Paul, who passed away in January 1987 after 55 years of marriage, Myrtle was predeceased by a son, Robert, and her brother, Chet.

Surviving, to cherish the memory of Myrtle, are her son, Paul, granddaughter: Pam (Rusty) Foster, grandsons: Paul (Janean) and Gregory (Ana) Mullee, eight great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

The family will forever be grateful for the fine care provided by the staff of Heritage Health Care over the last eight years of her life. The family would also like to thank Covenant Care for their assistance over the final days of Myrtle’s life.
