Martin Goodloe Wentworth

Marty worked for several years at Monsanto in Pensacola, FL, as a laboratory technician. He retired at an early age and had a successful second career in sales at Gaines Measurement and Control.

Marty’s greatest passions included fishing, golfing and music. He was quick with a smile and kind words for family, friends and even strangers. His kindness and generosity touched many lives, and he will fondly be remembered by those he crossed paths with during his long and active life.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lois Flannagan Wentworth. His enormous love and dedication to her was apparent to all who knew them. He is also survived by his children, Karen Wentworth Penton, Stuart Wentworth (Julie) and Duane Wentworth (Hollie) and his stepchildren Dorothy Diltz (Craig), Deborah Flannagan, Keith Flannagan (Sandra), Victoria Thompson (Tommy), Vincent Flannagan (Laura) and Lisa Flannagan (Rick), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Floy Wentworth, sisters Jeanne Nelson (Ralph), Claire Sweet (Larry) and Dannie Kelly (AC) and stepdaughter Monica Kerckhoff.

No formal service is planned at this time. A Celebration of Life gathering will be scheduled in the near future.
