Lola Inez Posey Willis, 95, of Tallahassee, Florida, died on Thursday, August 9, 2012, in Tallahassee.
Lola was born April 4, 1917, in Medart, Florida. She was the daughter of Noah Hall Posey and Nannie Whaley Posey. Lola was co owner of H & W Equipment and Willis Marine with her husband J. Hendrix Willis. After retiring she worked as a pink lady at T.M.H. She was a Baptist. She enjoyed clogging, dancing and bowling.
Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James Hendrix Willis; second husband Eddie Dean Hyde; her brothers, Tom Posey, Raymond Posey and George Posey; and her sisters, Opal Durrance, Myra Carter, Emily Tucker, Duma Fain, Nellie Posey and Annettee Posey.
She is survived by a devoted nephew Noah (Mildred) Posey of Panacea; her brother in law, Fletcher Durance; and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks for the love and care given to Aunt Lola by Deborah Bruce, Stephanie Harris, Kim Jones, Marlene Rains, Kathy Reynold, Odell Virgil and Covenant Hospice, during her illness.
A graveside service will be held at Lake Ellen Cemetery, 4495 Crawfordville Highway, Medart, Florida. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
