Janice Wilford Walsh

Janice was born on March 4, 1952, to Louise and Jack Wilford in Monticello, Florida. After graduating from Jefferson County High School in 1970, she went to work at the State Division of Motor Vehicles for ten years. Until her retirement in 2001, she worked for the House Appropriations Committee of the Florida Legislature.

In 1978, Janice married John (Jack) Walsh and in 1982 their daughter, Lindsey Marla Walsh, was born.

Janice, Jack, and Lindsey loved going on vacations to Cape San Blas, St. George Island, and the North Carolina mountains. Janice loved flowers and working in the yard. It seemed she could identify any flower or plant.

Janice was blessed with a soft-spoken demeanor. She was deeply loved by anyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She will be forever missed.

Janice was predeceased by her parents, Louise and Jack Wilford; her sisters, Virginia Fountain and Betty Teasley and her brother, Jackie Wilford. She is survived by her husband, Jack Walsh; daughter, Lindsey Walsh Threadgill (Ben); grandsons, Brent Threadgill and Bryson Threadgill; sisters Juanita Lambert and Carolyn Sauls.

A visitation for Janice will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home | Timberlane Road Chapel, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
