Donna M. Dixon, 64, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 21, 2017. She was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on March 31, 1952 to Frank McCrory and Peggy Workman McCrory. Donna was a 1974 graduate of Winthrop College. She was a Bureau Chief of Technology for the Bureau of Professional Regulation for the State of Florida for 15 years, and later was Business Development Director for VCarve Software in Tallahassee as well. She had been previously employed with Policy Management Systems in Columbia, South Carolina. She enjoyed growing roses and visiting her beach house.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Frank, Jr. She is survived by Russell Dixon, her husband of 42 years; one daughter, Marla Rose Dixon, of Columbia, South Carolina; and one sister, Linda Grooms of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home at 1737 Riggins Road. Interment will be held at a later date in their family cemetery in Columbia, South Carolina.
