David Roy Perry of Tallahassee met his heavenly Father on Nov 2, 2014. He was a beloved husband, father and brother. The family will receive friends on Thursday Nov 6 at 10:00 am at Morningside Baptist Church, 1560 Pedrick Rd. The services will follow immediately after at 11:00am with burial at Culley’s Meadow Wood Memorial Park, Timberlane Rd, Tallahassee, Fl at approximately 12:30.
David was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. He was often referred to as one of the Perry “kids” which he regarded as reference of great pride. He was the second child of Roy and Lucretia Perry. He attended and graduated from Rickards High School Class of 1981. He met and married Lisa Ann Pope. They were married 30 years and had two children Jonathan (23) and Caleb (14). His greatest joys were listening to Jonathan sing and Caleb talking about his favorite movie. He had many interests in life. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed watching Nascar, drafting and loved the Miami Dolphins. David was best known for the numerous servers and computer knowledge. Later in life he and Lisa moved their family so he could attend Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Fl where he received his B.S. degree in 2001 in Church Ministries. After graduation he was employed with Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation in the IT Department until 2012.
He was predeceased by his parents Roy and Lucretia Perry. He is survived by his wife Lisa Ann Perry, his two sons Jonathan and Caleb. His sister Kay Cordle (husband Obie), his sister Sandra (Sandy) Quillin (husband Marlous), brother Charles (Randy) Perry (wife Michele) and brother Thomas Kelley.
