Dais L Richardson

Dais Lorraine (Dodge) Richardson (97) passed away peacefully in Crawfordville, FL on May 22, 2022. She was born September 21, 1924 in Minnesota and was raised on a farm in Spring Green, Illinois that gave her a lifelong love of animals.

In WWII, she worked in a factory in Chicago for the war effort and later transferred to West Palm Beach to work as a secretary for the US Army.

It was there that she met her husband, Dale, who was stationed in West Palm Beach in the US Navy. She remained in West Palm Beach retiring from the Palm Beach County School Board.

She moved to Crawfordville in 2000 to be near her sons. Her husband, Dale and her brother Lenny preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Crawfordville United Methodist Church and Calvary United Methodist Church in Lake Worth, FL.

She is survived by sons, Dean and David (wife Nancy), grandsons - Paul, Nick and James Harrison, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Crawfordville United Methodist Church on June 1, 2022 at 10am and the service will follow at 11am with Rev. Kisner officiating.

The caring professionals of Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road – Tallahassee, is assisting the Richardson family with arrangements.
