Charles Wyatt Jackson, Sr., 89 of Tallahassee, FL passed away on February 23rd, 2022. A Tallahassee native, Charles worked 42 years for the CSX/Seaboard Railroad. After retiring he worked for many years transporting cars for Hertz and private dealerships. He also worked his entire life farming and raising livestock on his family land.
His love of life included his family, friends and church. He was an elder in his church and provided support and guidance to everyone in need. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and anything sports. His smile, gentle spirit and endless generosity touched every life he met.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Annette Eubanks Jackson, his son Charles W. Jackson, Jr., and his son Ronnie Jackson. He is survived by his children; Joey Jackson, Jill Jackson and Joy J. Pintovidal (husband Cristian). He has four grandchildren; Charles W. Jackson III, Tommy Jackson (wife CJ), Stevie Jackson and Alexander Pintovidal (wife Robyn). He is also survived by his sister Jean Williams (husband Fred).
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the caregivers at Westminster Oaks, Brookdale Hermitage Boulevard and Covenant Care Hospice for the wonderful care they all provided.
A visitation will be held from 1-2PM on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2PM. Services will be held at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home (700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312). In keeping with his wishes, no formal graveside service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Freedom Road Christian Ministries at 720 Capital Circle NE, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
