Tommy “Tgunn” Morris was born on September 22nd, 1960, in Sacaton, AZ, the son of Riley and Idella Richanda (Armstrong) Morris. He grew up with two brothers, Danny and Richard Riley “Dickey” Morris. He attended and graduated high school and then decided on a job roofing in the construction industry. He met the sweetest woman he ever, Miss Emma Lee Blackbird, and married her in Evening Shade at her grandparents’ house. Together they raised a son, Jesse Buzzard, and shared 30 years of memories together. When he wasn’t working, Tgunn loved to play horseshoes, go camping at the river, hunt for crawdads, always had a joke to tell, made people laugh, and attended stomp dances whenever he could. He adored his family, and time spent with them during the holidays or weekends made him happy. He passed from this life on December 16th, 2020 after attaining the age of 60 years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother and father, and his brother Richard Riley "Dickey" Morris.
He is cherished and remembered by his wife of thirty years, Emma Lee Morris of the home in Tahlequah, and his son, Jesse Buzzard also of the home. He leaves a brother, Danny Morris of Tulsa, OK and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and coworkers he has met along life’s way.
Graveside services for Tommy “Tgunn” Morris will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020 at 11:00 AM at McCoy/Evening Shade Cemetery in Sequoyah County, OK with Pastor Bill Sanders and Pastor Rufus Hooper officiating. Pallbearers for Tommy Morris include Mikey Vickery, Kendall Davis, Marc Girdner Sr., Paul Puckett, Jeff Emerson, and Junior Cheater. Honorary pallbearers include David Cheater, Jesse Buzzard, Martin Blackbird, and Elmer Tankersley, Charles Elk, Robert Elk, and Sammy Elk.His family will host a visitation on Monday, December 21st, 2020 beginning at 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
