Stormie Dawn Brackett was born on March 3rd, 1988 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Martin C. Torres and Luggie Brackett. She grew up in the Rocky Mountain Community, attended school at Oaks along with Stilwell High School and decided towards her nursing career, working as a Certified Nurses Aide. Stormie was blessed with four children who she loved dearly, Tori Alandra Nicole Brackett, Lynden Wayne Manning, Pacia Raleigh Manning and Marco Antonio Gonzales Jr. She was a strict, but caring mother and did whatever was necessary to be with her children. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed going to stomp dances, singing, cleaning her house to perfection, dancing and attending church where she could praise the Lord she loved and served. Tragically, she was diagnosed with leukemia, giving her beliefs in the miracle of faith, throughout this long and stressful time in her life. She was able to find inner peace in her turmoil, finding faith and family to be the healing source she depended on daily. She could brighten up the room with her beautiful smile, and never met a stranger. She was a strong, outgoing, brave, and forthright woman for all who knew her. On September 7th, 2018, she went home to her Lord and Savior at the age of 30 years old, surrounded by the family and friends that knew and loved her best.
Waiting for her arrival were her grandparents John William Brackett, Dorothy Brackett-Wolfe, her son Yanelli Brackett, cousin Smokey Mankiller, uncle Tommy Elk and brother Jack Tobie Brackett-Torres.
Those left to cherish her memory include her four children, step parents Cenobio Landaverde of Greenville, TX, and Galacia Landaverde of Greenville, TX, sisters Dorothyia Brackett of Proctor, OK, Annestassia Lopez of Jackson, TN, Gabby Landaverde of Greenville, TX, Xemenia Landaverde of Greenville, TX, Natalie Landaverde of Greenville, TX, Sophia Landaverde of Greenville, TX and Alicia Wiley of Welling, OK, her brothers, Martin Jr. Torres of Proctor, OK, Luis Carlos Torres of Tahlequah, OK, Lorenzo Brackett of Tahlequah, OK, Nick Brackett of Proctor, OK, Victor Landaverde of Greenville, TX, Ceasar Landaverde of Greenville, TX, Dieago Landaverde of Greenville, TX, Jesus Landaverde of Greenville, TX, Cruz Landaverde of Greenville, TX, as well as many other nieces, nephew, cousins, and many friends and loved ones.
