Pearl Sue Mason-Morgan was born on March 14th, 1927 in Braggs, OK, the daughter of William Thomas and Onie Samantha (Jay) Mason. She had five brothers and one sister: Will Dee, Thom, Mirt, Buster, Alfred, and Bobbie. Pearl attended and graduated from Stidham High School in Stidham, OK and went on to attend Northeastern College pursing her certification in accounting. She would then meet best friend, James Leo “Pete” Morgan at church and on May 27th, 1949 they were married in Park Hill, OK. They were together 41 years until his passing in 1990. This union was blessed with two sons and one daughter, James Ray “Jim”, Joe Dan, and Sherry.
Pearl always put the needs of others ahead of her own and took great pride in caring for her family. Pearl would sew, raise beautiful gardens with both vegetables and flowers, canning her own produce, enjoyed painting and could cook the best meal for miles around. All of this while running a construction company alongside her devoted husband. She never forgot a birthday and always had a special card, punch and handmade and decorated cake to celebrate the occasion. Her husband Pete was a minister in the Church Of Christ, and Pearl had a servant’s heart and was the woman who always had time to make life better for those around her. She was a member of the Family Community Education, and served on the nutrition board for the senior citizens center for many years.
