Krista Renee Brown-Smith was born on April 28th, 1973, in Oklahoma City, OK, the daughter of Stanley and Juanita (Baker) Brown. She grew up in the Tahlequah, OK area. She graduated from Hulbert High School. Following her graduation, she attended classes at NSU. She worked as a clerk most of her working career. When she wasn’t working she was the proud mother of her son, Cross. When she was younger, she loved to go horseback riding. She was a music fan, and loved listening to all kinds of music. She like to have time to get together with her family to play cards. Krista was raised around her Father’s involvement in the Bedouin Shriners. She often assisted with the many fundraisers they held to help people. She also spent a great deal of time around the American Legion Post 135, and helped them with their many activities as well. She was warm and caring, always possessed a smile on her face and made friends at the drop of a hat. There were no strangers in Krista’s life. Any time spent with her family was quality time for Krista. Krista passed from this earthly life on June 8th, 2021 at the age of 48 years. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents and her dad, Stanley, as well as her brother, Stan Brown.
She is survived by her mother, Juanita and her beloved son, Cross Smith, as well as a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
