Kenneth James Dew, or Kenny to his family and friends, was born on July 23rd, 1968 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Sanders and Mary (Dry) Dew. He grew up in a household with eight brothers and sisters. Kenny was a lifelong resident of Tahlequah, graduating from Tahlequah High School. At an early age, Kenny had his heart set on being a truck driver for a profession. He often said there was no greater joy than rolling into a big city. During his transportation career, he drove for Stilwell Foods, Cherokee Nation Donated Foods, Walmart and Greenleaf Nursery. Kenny was the kind of man that made friends easily; he never met a stranger and had an easy going smile. He loved to make people laugh and to tease his family. Family was everything to Kenny. He loved any chance he had to get together with those he loved most. On August 13, 2016, Kenny rolled into the most beautiful city anyone can ever see. He was 48 years old. He will be dearly missed as a brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.
Kenny is preceded in death by his father, Sanders Dew, his mother, Mary Dry-Dew, and two sisters, Geneva and Marilyn Dew.
He is survived by his brother, Elvis Dew and wife Debbie of Tahlequah, OK, and his sisters, Wanda Sanders and husband Johnny of Stilwell, OK, Minnie Dew, Edna Jones and husband Burl, Kathy Van Buskirk and husband Perry, and Jacqueline Clayton and husband Robert all of Tahlequah, OK. He leaves 13 nieces and nephews, 22 great nieces and nephews that loved him dearly, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
