Jerry Marcus Gordon "Red"

Jerry Marcus Gordon Jr. “Red” was born on November 2nd, 1963 in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of Jerry Sr. and Carol Nadine (Rotramel) Gordon. He was raised with two brothers, Jody Walters and James Gordon, which passed at a young age. He attended school and then decided on a career working as a mechanic and all round Mr. Fixit. He loved working in the yard and gardens, and enjoyed making things grow. He was fond of catfishing, and hunting, especially for mushrooms. Nature was something Red never tired of and he loved landscaping and mowing. He loved leatherwork, beadwork, and cooking his favorite beans and cornbread. He liked to stir things up in the kitchen a bit and see what he got. He was a jokester that enjoyed cutting up. He was easy going and loved the children and grandchildren, always ready for a day spent with them. He had a fun smile and a better sense of humor. He loved people. He loved time spent with Nancy Bryan, the love of his life, and his children, Heather and Gary Cook, Heath Bryan, Austin and Meghan Bryan of Tahlequah, and his four adored grandchildren. For all the plans he had yet to make, he passed from this life on December 26th, 2022 in Tahlequah, OK. He was 59 years old and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Calvin and Hazel Rotrammel, Mr. and Mrs. Rotrammel, one brother, James Taylor Gordon, and his mother and father.

Those left to cherish his memory include, Nancy Bryan of the home in Tahlequah and his children, Heather and Gary Cook of Midwest, OK, Heath Bryan and Austin Bryan and wife Megan all of Tahlequah. He lives on through his grandchildren, Brinley and Stedman of Midwest City, OK, and Shawn and Isabella all of Tahlequah, OK. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones, too numerous to mention.

Funeral services for Jerry Gordon Jr. “Red” will be held on Friday, January 6th, 2023 at 10:00AM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home with Pastor David Taylor officiating, with obituary reading by Pastor Chip Hinds. He will be laid to rest at Ross Cemetery in Park Hill, OK. Pallbearers for Red include Mike Anson, Mike Chuculate, Anthony Maher, Shawn Fullen, David Woodward, and Gary Cook. His honorary pallbearers include Dewayne Trammel, Walter Maher, David Taylor, Kevin Vann, and Chip Hinds.

The family will host a visitation on Thursday, January 5th, 2023 from 2:00PM until6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel.
