Jeremy Ray Adair began his journey in this world on January 20th, 1989 in Tahlequah, OK to parents Audrey Star (Monholland) Adair and Robert Dale Blakley. He grew up with siblings Lindsey Blakley, Bill Adair, and Mandy Adair. Bonus family included dad Newton “Bo” Adair and brothers Trent, Michael, and Daniel Mauldin. Jeremy was later acquainted with his brother, Waylon Davis, whom he was glad to have known.
Jeremy had three beautiful children Conlee Wayne, Abby May, and Ruby Elaine that he truly loved. He was very proud of each one for the unique gifts they brought to this world and cherished the time he did have with them. There are many things that can be questioned in this world, but his love for them was not one. Jeremy was also a proud uncle to Newton, Jaya, Carleigh, Lincoln, and Brayden.
During warmer months, he was sure to be found by any body of water he could get to while enjoying some grilling, fishing, swimming, good ol’ country music, and cold beers. He would strike up conversation with anyone on these outings and never seemed to meet a stranger. Always one to be working with his hands and enjoying outside work, he often had employment in facility maintenance areas or landscape care and had no problem getting under the hood or chassis of a vehicle to tinker around and fix it if needed. Many remember the mischievous side of Jeremy and tells of his shenanigans are widespread, but none so well remembered by most as the epic food fight at Tahlequah Jr. High. He was particularly proud of that one and even more proud that all charges were dropped. While in school, he played his favorite sport, football, and was damn good at it too. Tales of him being untouchable on the gridiron are many and he was pretty quick to tell you those tales himself. They were always backed up though, by his chosen brothers Aaron Johnson, Brent Childs, Chris Sherrick, Cory Bryant, Corey Hooper, Dustin Lowrey, Ethan Chambers, and Josh Ballard.
Jeremy enjoyed any chance he could get to have bull sessions with his friends and family alike. Many times this was the best way he bonded with his siblings. Sitting around with music playing, teasing the heck out of each other, cussing up storms, sorting out life’s challenges, and laughing until their sides hurt will always be cherished memories by those lucky enough to have them. While given the toughest skin he could be by some of these sessions, two things Jeremy couldn’t stand or get over were being pinched or being beat by mom in dominoes. He didn’t understand that locking up the game wasn’t cheating.
While Jeremy had a great admiration for his dad, a truly special bond was always between him and his momma. Audrey was always his biggest fan and saving grace throughout his life. She was there for him through good times and bad, jubilant and downcast. She made sure he was taken care of the best she could and was always there for him as much as she could possibly be. It does her heart good knowing that Jeremy was baptized on Oct. 25, 2024 in the Christian faith. From his first breath to his last, Jeremy had his momma by his side and there was no place she’d rather been during either time.
Jeremy Ray’s journey in this world ended on December 6, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 35 years, 10 months, and 16 days. He will be missed dearly.
