Janelle Downing Settlemyre

Watts, OK – Lori “Janelle” Settlemyre, age 54, passed from this life Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in Tulsa, OK. Funeral Services for Janelle will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 3rd, 2013 at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Church in Oaks, OK. Officiating will be Pastor Don Marshall; and Mike Sadler. Those serving as pallbearers include Steven Coffee, Charlie Turtle, Dave Turtle, Marvin Christie, Jamie Settlemyre, and Donald Coffee. Honorary pallbearers will be Cainon Lay, Bon Settlemyre, Skyler Settlemyre and grandchildren Kodi and Arron Settlemyre, Paige Lay, and Briona Barber. Visitation will be Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Reed-Culver Funeral Home

Janelle was born November 16, 1958 in Claremore, OK, and made her home in Watts, OK, with the love of her life, Steven Coffee. She worked for the Cherokee Nation as a receptionist at the casino in West Siloam Springs. Janelle enjoyed getting to boss her children around, almost as much as getting to spend time with each one of them. She enjoyed getting a chance to cook a meal for her friends and loved ones, and on game night ,she was always in front of the T.V. watching an OU football game. When Janelle had time to relax, she could be found reading a good book, watching a movie, or her favorite, playing Farmville. She loved her dog “Zeus”, and being outside messing in the garden. Janelle will be missed by all that were lucky enough to know her.

Janelle is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Annas (Cummings) Downing, and one sister Vicky Christie.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Steven Coffee, two sons; Donald Coffee and Jamie Settlemyre, one daughter; Amber Settlemyre, two brothers; Timmie Downing, and Jimmie Downing, seven grandchildren; Cainon Lay, Bon Settlemyre, Skyler Settlemyre Kodi Settlemyre, Arron Settlemyre, Paige Lay, and Briona Barber, as well as, many other friends and loved ones.
