Chad Colon Combs

Funeral services for Chad Colon Combs will be held on Friday, May 10th, 2019 at 2:00 Pm at Eben Ezer Lutheran Church of Oaks, OK with Brother Keith Marler officiating. His family will host a visitation on Thursday, May 9th, 2019 beginning at 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Oaks Cemetery in Oaks. Pallbearers for Chad include Christopher Wilkerson, Joshua Watkins, Mike Watkins, Doo Reese, Chris Marler, and Kirk Reese. His honorary pallbearers include Colton Wilkerson, Chebon Shrum, and Jared Wiggins.

Chad Colon Combs was born on Tuesday, May 27th, 1980 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Doreen Catherine Combs Wilkerson. He attended school in Oaks and upon graduating, began working in the agriculture industry. When his time was his own, he was into cars and sound systems, cruise nights, listening to live music and a day spent fishing at his favorite fishing spot. He ran sound for the Pumpkin Hollow Boys for a long time. The best part of any day was the time he spent with his kids, Raven, and stepchildren, Chebon and Emily. He adored them. He loved gathering with his family to spend a day enjoying each other’s company. He loved time spent with his special girl Tiffany, they were so happy just to share the day. He was dedicated to his family, especially his grandparents, and he always stayed close to them to help in any way he could. Chad possessed the ability to make you laugh and a smile that always made your day. The sun set for Chad all too soon on Monday, May 6th, 2019 in Tahlequah at the age of 38 years. He leaves a void that can never be filled.

He is preceded in death by his uncle, Chooch Combs.

Those left to cherish Chad’s memory include his mother, Doreen Wilkerson and his stepdad, James of Tahlequah, OK. He leaves his girlfriend, Tiffany Shrum and his son Raven Combs and stepson and stepdaughter, Chebon and Emily also of the home in Tahlequah. There are two brothers, Christopher Wilkerson and wife Becky and Colton Wilkerson all of Tahlequah. He leaves his grandparents, Leroy and Loretta Combs of the home, two aunts, Elfreda Watkins and husband Mike of Kansas, OK, and Susanna Marler and husband Keith of Rose, OK. He also leaves his cousins, Emily and Shawn Williams of Rogers, AR, Josh and Susan Watkins of Siloam, AR, Jared Wiggins of Louisville, KY and Dora and Phil Van Dyke of West Siloam, AR, as well as a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
