Martina T. Trevino Marroquin

Martina T. Marroquin passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at the age of 80. She was born on November 12, 1931, in Taft, Texas, to Gabriel and Francisa Trevino. Martina was a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Martina was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-three years, Rogerio Marroquin; son, Rogelio Marroquin, Jr.; daughter, Theorosa Marroquin; sister, Elena Trevino; and brother, Gabriel Trevino.

Martina leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Francisca (John) Chavez, Juanita (Ruben) Colmenero, Ezekial (Elva) Marroquin, Rosario (Ernest) Marshall all of Taft, Rosendo (Thelma) Marroquin of Sinton, Texas and David (Monica) Marroquin of Taft; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Mendoza of Helena, Texas and Rosa Nava of Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers, Faustino Trevino and Francisco Ramirez both of Taft.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 13, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow service at Taft Memorial Park.
