Julio Amador Castillo, Sr., 63 a resident of Taft, Texas passed away on April 21, 2012 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on December 29, 1948 to Amador Castillo and Elidia Castillo in Taft, Texas. He was employed for the Taft Independent School District for many years. He loved working in his garden. He did landscaping in Port Aransas at several different condominiums. He was preceded in death by parents, a sister, Guadalupe Pena. He is survived by 2 sons, Julio A. (Yolanda) Castillo, Jr. and Fernando Castillo both of Taft, Texas; 4 daughters, Zenaida Castillo of Ingleside, Texas, Aurora (Steve Butrum) Castillo of Portland, Texas, Carolina (Rickey Esquivel) Castillo of Corpus Christi, Texas and Elydia Castillo of Taft, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers Manuel (Irene) Castillo, Eleuterio (Victoria) Castillo and Mateo Refugio (Odilia) Castillo all of Taft, Texas; Reynaldo Castillo of Aransas Pass, Texas; four sisters, Teresa Moya and Elvia (Francisco) Gonzales both of Taft, Texas, Josephina (Manuel) Davila of Gregory, Texas and Janie (Martin) Martinez of Aransas Pass, Texas. Visitation will be Monday April 23, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home in Taft, Texas. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday April 24, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Taft, Texas. Burial will follow at Taft Memorial Cemetery in Taft, Texas. Services are entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home, 204 N. Meyer Avenue, Taft, Texas.
