Rose Donovan

Rose Troiano Donovan, 87, of Syracuse, was returned to the hollow of the Lord’s hand on May 1, 2011. Rose endlessly devoted herself to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Donovan was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert “Red” Donovan in 2004 and two daughters, Dorene Donovan-Taylor in 1996 and Cynthia Donovan in 1989.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Albert) Carlough of Cicero and Peggy (John) Donovan-Kennedy of Manlius; sons, Robert, Owen (Virginia) and Gary Donovan all of Syracuse; sister, Theresa Santulli; sister-in-law, Anne Troiano; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 9:15 a.m. from FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street.
